Which chains does Steakwallet provide NFT support for?

Currently, Steakwallet supports NFTs on Ethereum and Avalanche. Stay tuned for updates as we plan to roll out NFT support across many more chains very soon! Eventually, Steakwallet will support NFTs across all of the chains integrated in the app.

Which blockchains are supported by Steakwallet?

Steakwallet will be your ultimate multi-chain wallet, with support for every major blockchain. Currently, we support over 15 blockchains including L1s like Ethereum, Avalanche, Binance, Celo, Cosmos, the Graph, Fantom, Solana, and even L2s such as Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon.

We integrate new blockchains on a regular basis, so be sure to keep up to date with our latest releases!

Why does Steakwallet show a different transaction fee on Avalanche compared to Metamask?

Our gas estimations are based on our best effort to reflect the right balance of cost and speed/confidence. Because Avalanche has its own form of EIP-1559, the number shown in Steakwallet is the max you would pay.

How do I see my wallet address for each token?
  1. On your steakwallet, tap on the asset to pull up the asset’s profile.
  1. Tap Receive.
  1. Your unique wallet address for that token will appear. Tap Copy address to copy it to your clipboard or scan the QR code.
  • IMPORTANT: Different tokens & protocols have different wallet addresses. For example, your Ethereum wallet address is different from your Cosmos wallet address. If you send Ethereum funds to a Cosmos address, you could lose your assets. Always double check the address you are sending your assets to.
How do I switch networks when connecting with a dApp? How do I switch the network for a dApp I'm already connected to?
  1. Tap the ≡ Settings bar in the top-left hand corner.
  1. Select Connected Applications.
  1. Tap on the dApp you want to set up.
  1. At the top, tap the Drop down icon to choose from a list of networks.

Can I customize the gas price and gas limit for my ERC-20 transaction?

Yes, Steakwallet provides you with the option to custom your gas price. The higher the gas offer, the faster your transaction will go through. The Steakwallet suggested gas fee is based on best market estimations ✅ .

We advice that you choose your gas price based on the recommended list in order to conduct prompt transactions. Please note that it can be risky to go too low on your gas bid as your transaction could get stuck for a long time. To gauge the right transaction fee for your needs, you can view real time gas fees here.

How do I connect to a dApp on desktop or mobile?

Steakwallet supports WalletConnect to allow you to access your access to your favorite decentralized applications (dApps) easily and safely. To connect to a website or dApp on desktop using WalletConnect:

  1. Navigate to the web dApp.
  1. Find Connect or Connect Wallet.
  1. You will be prompted to select WalletConnect if the dApp supports it. Some dApps will also provide a Steakwallet option. 
  1. After selecting the WalletConnect or Steakwallet option, a QR code will pop up.
  1. Navigate to your steakwallet and tap the QR code icon at the top right-hand corner of the home screen.
  1. Use your steakwallet app to scan the QR code on the dApp.
  1. Scan the QR code using your Steakwallet.
  1. To authorize the dApp on your Steakwallet, tap Confirm.
      • Note: WalletConnect is secure because you never have to reveal your private key to dApps. But, always ensure the dApp is trustworthy before connecting your wallet.

When you make a transaction through the connected dApp, you will get a transaction confirmation message on your Steakwallet. If you are making a transaction through a mobile dApp, you will be redirected to your Steakwallet app to confirm the transaction.

Remember to account for network fees ⛽  for your transaction!

Can I import custom tokens?

This feature is not integrated yet but we are looking to implement it. In the meantime, you can search for tokens that we have available by tapping the coins icon on your Home screen and add them to your wallet.

We use the most comprehensive token lists for each network. If your token is on the networks we support, it will be displayed on Steakwallet.

Does Steakwallet have its own token? Wen TGE?

Steakwallet does not have its own token at the moment. Stay tuned for updates as we continue developing our roadmap!

Can I buy tokens with fiat via bank transfer/debit card or do I need Apple/Google Pay?

You can buy tokens via bank transfers, debit and credit card payments and Apple pay. Steakwallet uses Ramp Capital to support crypto purchase in-app. You can learn more about payment details through the Ramp support website.
